Hosting.ca may use customer information to provide details about products that may be of interest to the customer or to enable the customer to take advantage of special partner programs. Hosting.ca may also use customer information to provide its customers with system information, network bulletins, maintenance bulletins, or information about new or upgraded products.

Hosting.ca posts customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information. We do obtain the customer’s consent via email or phone prior to posting the testimonial.

Hosting.ca abides by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act (PIPEDA). Health care organizations can feel safe when hosting sensitive information with us.

How Secure Is My Data?

Hosting.ca will protect the confidentiality of its customers’ information, account information and personal communications to the fullest extent possible and consistent with the law and the legitimate interests of Hosting.ca, its partners, its employees and other customers of Hosting.ca services. We follow accepted industry standards to protect the personally identifiable information sent to us. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however.

E-mail is not recognized as a secure medium of transmission. We ask that you do not send private information to us by e-mail. To protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information that is collected from customers, Hosting.ca has appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures in place. All information should be submitted over a secure (HTTPS) connection.

Disclosure of Information

Hosting.ca will not otherwise disclose its customers’ personal and account information unless Hosting.ca has reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary for the following scenarios:

  • Interfering with the intellectual rights or property of Hosting.ca, Hosting.ca customers, or others.
  • In response to legal issues or defending against legal claims.

We do not share, rent, or trade with third parties for promotional purposes.

Data Retention

Hosting.ca will retain your information for as long as your account is active or paid in full and up to date. If you wish to cancel your account or request your information to be used, please contact billing@hosting.ca. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
