WORDPRESS HOSTING POLICY

1. Purpose

To maintain security and stability, Hosting.ca requires WordPress installations to be kept up to date.

2. Client Responsibility

Customers must keep WordPress core, themes, and plugins current.
Outdated or vulnerable software may be disabled or quarantined.

3. Updates Performed by Hosting.ca

Hosting.ca may apply automatic security updates or perform manual repairs when necessary.
Manual work is billable.

4. Upgrade & Remediation Fees

Manual updates, malware removal, or code repairs billed at $150 CAD/hr (30-minute increments).
Examples: legacy plugins, unsupported themes, custom code.

5. Security Enforcement & Suspension

Hosting.ca may temporarily disable or suspend any website that contains vulnerable code, malware, or is used to send spam or host phishing content.
Such suspensions may occur without notice to protect the network.
Cleanup and recovery work are billable at the standard rate.

6. Support Scope

Hosting.ca maintains server-level uptime and security.
Application-level issues are paid support.

7. Client Cooperation

Clients must provide administrative access (WordPress, FTP, or cPanel) when requested.
Failure to comply may result in temporary suspension.

8. Liability & Disclaimer

Hosting.ca is not responsible for downtime or data loss caused by third-party plugins or client actions.
Customers must maintain independent backups.

9. Limitation of Guarantee

Only server and network uptime are guaranteed.
Website or plugin performance cannot be guaranteed.

10. Limitation of Liability and Business Interruption Disclaimer

Hosting.ca is not liable for lost income, sales, or reputation caused by website issues.
The sole remedy is infrastructure credit under the SLA.

11. Governing Law

This Policy is subject to the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, as defined in the Terms and Conditions.
